The public summary is a starting point

Nordstrom’s public benefits page names broad programs and says eligibility may vary with role, hours and location. A February 2026 overview points employees to the Summary Plan Description through mynordstrom.com > Nordstrom Benefits Portal and says written plan documents govern when a summary differs. This reading room explains that source hierarchy. It cannot see your benefits classification or enroll you in a plan.

Find the question you really have

Start with the benefits document map. If two pages disagree, identify which text controls. If a coworker sees a different benefit, check the classification. For a coverage date, see the coverage-source boundary. For a retirement statement, read the 401(k) summary guide. These are document questions, not requests for your private records.

For a balance or absence, compare PTO and time-away sources. A merchandise discount needs its own classification and shopping-channel context. Assistance and care programs and volunteer, matching and PTO exchange have separate conditions.
